Description

The U.S. Maritime Administration, Department of Transportation, is seeking feedback on this draft application and agreement terms and conditions from interested parties who are eligible to be awarded a General Agency Agreement as an agent of the United States of America, acting by and through the Director, National Shipping Authority (NSA) of the Maritime Administration (MARAD), Department of Transportation, as described in 46 CFR SUBCHAPTER I-A � NATIONAL SHIPPING AUTHORITY, PART 315 AGENCY AGREEMENTS AND APPOINTMENT OF AGENTS. Agent appointments will be restricted to any citizen of the United States who is an operator of vessels having the following characteristics: Dry cargo: 450 feet Length Along Waterline (LWL); 7500 Dead Weight Tons (DWT) cargo capacity, or greater Tanker: 25,000 DWT cargo capacity or greater This draft application and agreement terms and conditions attached herewith is NOT a solicitation for Government services. No awards will be made from this draft. Responding to the draft is voluntary. Interested vendors may provide feedback/comments relating to this draft application and agreement terms and conditions via email, no later than February 28, 2020 at 10:00 AM Eastern. Submit feedback/comments in a MS Word document to the Contracting Officer, Tina Gillespie-Lucas, at tina.gillespielucas@dot.gov. No information concerning this draft or requests for clarification will be provided in response to telephone calls. Interested vendors shall thoroughly read this draft in its entirety and ensure timely submittal of comments by the designated date and time stated. Responses to feedback/comments are anticipated to be posted on beta.SAM.gov following closure of this draft announcement or during the final posting.
