Description

The National Contracting Office No. 16 hereby issues the following Request for Information (RFI) with the intent of determining the interest, capabilities, and qualifications of potential businesses. This RFI is to seek contractors with the capability to provide a Medication Remote Dispensing System (RDS) to the Alexandria VA Medical Center (AVAMC). Responses are due by 02/27/2022 at 10:00 a.m. (CST) The VA s AVAMC requires equipment to remotely store, secure and dispense urgent and emergent medications to its patients visiting its Lake Charles CBOC facility while providing inventory control. This system must fulfill all medication management standards set forth by the Joint Commission MM 05.01.09 and all internal safety procedures. This equipment is intended to dispense medications that are urgent or emergent in need to patients and are therefore unsuitable for mail delivery. This equipment will be deployed at the AVAMC s Lake Charles CBOC. Initial market research efforts identify the Pick Point Remote Dispensing System manufactured by and distributed by Maxor National Pharmacy Services, LLC dba PickPoint as the only equipment which accommodates the use-case described above. The VA is seeking alternative equipment and alternative distributors to fulfil this requirement. Please review all attachments.
