Description
SYNOPSIS: Renovations to Interior Spaces at Dan Beard Research Center in Everglades National Park THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. The U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Contracting Operations East, South Contracting Office intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to renovate interior spaces at the Dan Beard Research Center in Everglades National Park. Detailed specifications and construction drawings will be provided with the solicitation documents. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation and its attachments will be issued on or about March 9, 2026 (the date is subject to change) and will be posted to the SAM.gov website at https://sam.gov/content/home This procurement will be 100% set aside for Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 236220- Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The small business standard is $45 million. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: Between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. TYPE OF PROCUREMENT: It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price construction contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical, past performance, and price proposal. The Government intends to award (1) one contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, price, and other factors considered. A payment bond and performance bond and bid guarantee will be required. The contract is expected to be awarded by May 2026. Federal Construction Wage Rates for Dade County in Florida will apply. SAM REGISTRATION: All interested offers MUST have an active vendor record in SAM.gov, be a small business under the identified NAICS code 236220, and NOT have any exclusion such as a delinquent federal debt or debarment. SITE VISIT: Only one (1) site visit is scheduled for this action. A date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirements and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. Offers will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of solicitation unless extended by amendment. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation because of this notice. NOTE: No additional information is available until the solicitation is released. No offeror list is maintained by the Contracting Officer. Interested parties are encouraged to monitor this announcement for updates and the release of the solicitation documents. The solicitation documents for this procurement will be accessible from SAM.gov website at https://sam.gov/. Once logged into the SAM.gov website, change the search criteria to Contract Opportunities and type in the Solicitation Number 140P5426R0004 in the field. It is, and will continue to be, all potential offeror's responsibility to monitor SAM.gov website for any amendments, updates, responses to questions and answers. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation OR accept any oral questions.
