THIS IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY � This notice does not constitute a solicitation announcement or restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach and NO AWARD will occur from this notice. NO SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS are available for this Notice. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB). INTRODUCTION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, is issuing this Sources Sought notice and conducting market research as a means to identify the interest and capabilities of both small and large business entities for stone supply at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Detroit Project Office. Work is expected to include stone supply that will be delivered to the USACE Detroit Project Office and placed at a specified area. The stone may range from between 8 to 36 inches in diameter, with an estimated 1.5 tons of stone in total. There may also be an estimated additioanl 1,475 tons of stones as options. BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES (IN FULL OR IN PART) OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. All Small Business Set-Aside categories will be considered. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: The delivery site will be at the USACE Detroit Project Office, located at 6309 W Jefferson Ave. Detroit, MI 48209. RESPONSES WILL NOT BE RETURNED TO THE RESPONDER. NOT RESPONDING TO THIS NOTICE DOES NOT PRECLUDE PARTICIPATION IN ANY FUTURE REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) OR INVITATION FOR BID (IFB) OR RFP, IF ANY ARE ISSUED. IF A SOLICITATION IS RELEASED, IT WILL BE SYNOPSIZED ON THE GOVERNMENT-WIDE POINT OF ENTRY (GPE). IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF POTENTIAL OFFERORS TO MONITOR THE GPE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THIS REQUIREMENT. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 212312 � Crushed and Broken Limestone Mining and Quarrying which has a small business size standard of 750 employees. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 5610 � Mineral Construction Materials, Bulk. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify the firm�s business size in the attached survey. Small business firms interested in performing this work are strongly urged to respond to this notice. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.
