NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The 377th Mission Support Group Contracting Office, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico intends to award a sole source purchase order to INDUSTRIAL POWER SYSTEMS, INC.(cage code 4RNF4), P.O. Box 5151 OLD SALEM RD NE, ALBANY, OR 97321 USA The Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) supports the C-130J , a cornerstone of our nation's tactical airlift capability. The HPU is a critical piece of equipment, specifically designed for maintenance training on the C-130J's IFR pod trainers. By providing a safe and realistic training environment, we ensure that our maintainers are proficient and ready to keep these essential assets mission capable. To date, we have procured five HPU units for various operational and training units, with the most recent contract awarded in 2022. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b). The anticipated award date is 3 June 2026. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services listed above. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A Sole Source Justification Letter will be posted with the Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source IAW Far 6.305(a). The closing date for this notice is 10 June 2026 at 10:00 AM Mountain Daylight Time.
