Description
**THIS IS NOT A SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST** ***DRAFT*** The Facilities and Engineering Services (AJW-2) directorate is a part of the Air Traffic Organizations Technical Operations service unit and is responsible for the safe and effective lifecycle management of the facilities infrastructure of the National Airspace System (NAS). Its mission is to manage and execute programs and projects to safely establish, replace, modernize, and sustain the NAS. Its vision is to build a high-performance organization that values innovation and delivers quality products and services to meet the evolving needs of the FAA. The FAA has identified 13 functional work areas (as detailed further in Section C.3, Functional Work Areas) which are vital in realizing this vision by providing comprehensive solutions across its three mission pillars: Safety, Execution and Management. Additionally, NSEMS has identified eight (8) program management work areas (as detailed further in Section C.4, Program Management Work Areas), under which NSEMS work efforts will be managed by the Contractors. The three (3) Mission Pillars and 13 Functional Work Areas represent a diverse set of solution services that will require a broad range of labor families, resource categories, and skill levels. With such a broad scope of work, the Contractors under the Contract(s) will provide critical professional, technical, program and planning support to a wide range of FAA organizations that support the existing NAS, in addition to those organizations tasked with the planning, development, and integration of the latest developments for new entrants into the current NAS framework. Refer to Attachment 1 for further information. **THIS IS NOT A SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST** ***DRAFT***
