Description
The Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) intends to issue solicitation N5005426R0005 for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Multiple Award Contract (IDIQ-MAC) to accomplish insulation and lagging removal and installation onboard U.S. Navy vessels and/or other military type vessels. Performance of work will primarily occur within a 50-mile radius of Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, VA. The Contractor, under the direction of MARMC as an independent Contractor and not as an agent of the Government, shall furnish the necessary management, technical support, labor, material support services, equipment, and facilities to accomplish insulation and lagging removal and installation. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract. The contract will be for a base year with four one-year option periods. The applicable NAICS code is 336611 (Ship Building and Repair) with a small business size standard of 1,300 employees. In addition, this procurement will utilize the policies and procedures of FAR Part 15 "Contracting by Negotiation."
