DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS Justification for Single Source Awards For Over Micro-Purchase Threshold but Not Exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold Acquisition Plan Action ID:__36C245-26-AP-3865_____________ Contracting Activity: Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 05, 581-26-3-1644-0033 Brief Description of Supplies/ Services required and the intended use/Estimated Amount: Omnicell remote access license, virtual test server and server WIN 2025 Unique characteristics that limit availability to only one source, with the reason no other supplies or services can be used: Everything from hardware to software must be compatible with the existing Omnicell systems. Description of market research conducted and results or statement why it was not conducted: Omnicell Inc. is the only manufacturer of the applicable Anesthesia Workstation Equipment and Windows Omnicenter server infrastructure and no other vendor product is compatible within the existing Omnicell Omnicenter platform and the components that are remaining on station for this system. Omnicell Inc. has indicated the proprietary nature of their medication distribution system and add-on products.
