Description

The Navy has designated the Damen Naval Landing Ship Transport 100 (LST 100) design as the official design basis for the Medium Landing Ship (LSM) Block 1. The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to modify Contract No. N00024-25-C-2414 with Damen Naval, De Willem Ruysstraat 99, 4381 NK, Vlissingen, The Netherlands, to provide engineering support to the LSM Program. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate the proposed contract action on a sole source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. � 2304(c)(1) as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), �Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� Parties interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Damen Naval directly. Disclaimer: This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If a competitive solicitation is issued in the future, it will be announced via SAM, and interested parties must comply with that announcement. This pre-solicitation notice is for information only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any questions submitted or information provided as a result of this notice. This is not a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation, and this information is subject to modification and in no way binds the Government to award a contract.
