Description
Amendment 0003 The purpose of this amendment is to revise the Combined Synopsis and Solicitation notice. As a result: 1. Combined Syn-Sol Rev 01 N6660426Q0008 is added. REV 01 revises CLIN 0001 from FFP to T&M type CLIN with a ceiling of 40 hours. 2. Attachment 1 Rev 01 Government's Minimum Specifications is added. Rev 01 clarifies CLIN 0001 and CLIN 0004 services. 3. Sample of Government's Li Battery Safety Certification Program (LBSP) Safety Data Package (SDP) is provided for reference only, as Attachment 3 to this notice. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. Amendment 0002 The purpose of this amendment is to extend the solicitation closing date to Monday, 15 December, 1400 EST. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. Amendment 0001 The purpose of this amendment is to provide responses to the following industry questions. Question 1: What are the power/current requirements? Answer 1: See Government's Minimum Specifications, Attachment 1, for battery kW. This is the standard means of defining battery capacity Question 2: Standards that the battery must meet? Answer 2: See standards listed in the Government's Minimum Specifications. The Li Battery must be able to attain Li Battery certification. The requirements for this certification pertain to the Li Battery, its safety features and the Government's application. Sample of inforamtion needed for the US Navy battery certification application (provided as Attachment 2) delineates the questions that must be met. Question 3: IP level? Answer 3: Not applicable. This is a water depth rated system Question 4: What is the required operating voltage range? Answer 4: See Government's Minimum Specifications, Attachment 1. Question 5: Will this battery be exposed to this pressure or will it exist in a pressurized, sealed enclosure? Answer 5: Battery will be exposed to full water depth pressure. Battery will NOT be in a pressurized, sealed container. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to purchase, on a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Material (T&M) basis Li Ion battery and services in support of US Navy battery certification as detailed in the Combined Synopsis Solicitaiton provided as an attachment to this notice.
