Description
The purpose of this solicitation is to obtain a 1- year contract vehicle for repair of the E-3 Recording Control Unit to support user requirements. The E-3 Recording Control Unit (E-3 RCU) or Control Panel consists of a Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR), a Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), and a Crash Position Locator (CPL) control unit. The E-3 RCU is used to operate and test the DFDR, CVR, and CPL. The DFDR records aircraft operating parameters such as altitude, attitude, power lever angle and significant events such as CPL activation. The CVR is utilized to record flight crew communication. The CPL generates and transmits distress signals in the event of a crash. This repair is intended to provide the assets necessary to support the current Mission Requirement of the E-3 AWACS aircraft. There shall be no more than 2 PQDRs on this Contract. Delivery of repair The Turnaround Time (TAT) is 60 calendar days for repair. There shall be no more than three late deliveries for this contract. The Contractor shall notify the Government if the delivery of any asset will not meet the scheduled delivery date and negotiate a revised delivery date. The late asset shall be delivered by a revised delivery date acceptable to the Government. CAV-AF reporting The Contractor shall report production in CAV-AF. The Contractor shall provide data on the actions conducted for each unit. The Contractor shall report as actions occur. For further requirement descriptions please reference attached PWS.
