Description
The Army's Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS), G-4, is responsible to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASA (ALT)) for sustainment. The DCS, G-4's role is to advance the integration of the Army's supply chain by integrating logistics policies, procedures, and programs for all commodities and sustainment functional areas. This directly supports key military missions required of the Department of Defense (DoD) Strategic Guidance and touches every organization and almost every individual in the Army. The ODCS, G-4 requires broad-based research and analytic support that will provide a sound basis for current requirements and future concepts to conduct Army logistics within an ever-changing security environment. The contractor must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the Army logistics enterprise, and a high degree of technical competence with regard to Army logistics operations, services, and policies. Specifically, the contractor shall provide the following Support to the Government and ensure sufficient task leads are located in the DCS, G-4 to support the tasks identified by the PWS: a. Provide analytical and technical support to develop and govern the execution of an Army logistics strategy, integrated and synchronized with Defense strategic plans. b. Provide professional and analytic support to assess the impact of current logistics issues and develop compelling presentations for target audiences such as senior Army and DoD officials. c. Provide program support to enable the DCS, G-4 to meet DoD supply chain requirements. d. Provide analytical and technical support to enable the DCS, G-4 to reach an integrated approach to strategic mobility. e. Provide analytical and technical support to assess a wide range of Army operations and logistics readiness issues. f. Provide analytical and technical support in all aspects of logistics automation processes, and implementation strategies. g. Provide analytical and technical support in resource integration processes. Please see PWS attachment.
