Description

This market research notice is being conducted by Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 VHA Regional Procurement Office-West (RPOW) 5441 Babcock Road Medical Center. 302 San Antonio TX 78240 intends to issue a Sole Source award to E3 Diagnostics 1333 Corporate Dr. Suite 105, Irving, Texas 75038 for the VNG Vestibular Chair and Spectrum System. Background and Requirement: Dallas VA Health Care System needs the requested items provided for the Spectrum Chair System Audiology and Speech Pathology Service. The VNG Vestibular Chair and Spectrum System which includes PC kit with monitor, TV, googles, keyboard, and mouse, database, software testing technology, training session, shipping, and installation to support health care operations for the Dallas VA Health Care System, Audiology and Speech Pathology Service. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Dallas VA Health Care System, proposed equipment is to provide a minimum one-year full-service warranty requirement prior to the acceptance of the equipment, the equipment must pass all acceptances testing. The VNG Vestibular Chair and Spectrum System is a video nystagmography system integrated of an assortment of appliances that communicate very meticulously with each other. This equipment is used for testing at the Dallas Audiology clinic as the only testing site in the North Texas Healthcare System. Without this equipment, testing would not be performed, affecting patient care and treatment, services would be delayed and increasing community care needs. VNG testing refers to a medical test that uses infrared video cameras to monitor eye movements and evaluate the balance system (vestibular system) in the inner ear. It helps diagnose and monitor balance disorders, such as vertigo, dizziness, and unsteadiness. SPECIFIC INSTRUMENT REQUIRED: To provide VNG Vestibular Chair and Spectrum System to the Dallas Veterans Affairs Health Care System. a. Micromedical by Interacoustics Orion chair Orion Reclining Rotational Vestibular Chair and VE525 3rd Generation VNG System/VTQ Assessments Pkg - Tests: gaze, random saccade, pursuit, OPK, Dix-Hallpike, positional, caloric, ocular counter roll, saccadometry, SHA, step velocity, Visual VOR, VOR suppression, plus advanced Dix-Hallpike, lateral head roll, dynamic visual acuity, gaze stabilization tests. SW: 3rd generation VE525 software. HW: small form factor PC; widescreen monitor, printer; binocular video goggles w/ USB cameras, wireless inertial measurement unit, RF remote control, room camera w/ mic. Features: 3D virtual head model, realtime test analysis including torsional eye movements, customized test protocols, multiple pupil tracking algorithms, one-click eye centering, eye movement video recordings. The intent of this notice is to establish sources to define the procurement strategy (e.g. set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that VA intends to post soon. Interested contractors are requested to respond in accordance with the following: a. Where is the item manufactured, the VA is interested in procuring items manufactured in the United States. If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, include the contract details in your response. Please note that VA is particularly interested in determining the availability of Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business/Veteran Owned Small Business or other Small Business manufacturers or authorized distributors that can provide this item.
