Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source Olympus Scopes Lease 36M (Base + 2 Option Years) Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 10, Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center (CVAMC) at 3200 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH 45220-2213, intends to negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price, Delivery Order to one large business, Olympus America Inc, 3500 Corporate Parkway, Center Valley, PA 18034-8229, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for this requirement. The Contractor shall provide the following commercial equipment and services: Renewal Lease for Olympus Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) scopes 36 Months (Base + 2) including rollover listing of equipment from existing lease New ENT scopes. Maintenance Agreement (Included) Technical Support (Included) The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. The NAICS Size is 1,000 Employees. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 6515 Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. This procurement is being conducted under Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation Overhaul (RFO) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, and in accordance with (IAW) GSAR 538.7104-4, Items Peculiar to One Manufacturer, these are direct replacements parts/components for existing equipment. The material/service must be compatible in all aspects (form, fit and function) with existing systems presently installed/performing. A firm fixed price contract with base plus two option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
