*****Solicitation notice updated to add Bid Abstract on 2/23/2025*****Amendment 0001 has been posted, January 22, 2026. The purpose of this amendment is to add Davis Bacon Wage Determination MI20260042 for Alpena County, MI. Proposal due date remains February 17, 2026 at 2PM EST. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Detroit District is seeking contractors for the FY24 Alpena Harbor Maintenance Dredging project located in Alpena, Michigan. The Contractor will mobilize dredge to Alpena Harbor and dredge between the upstream and downstream limits as shown on the plans and place the dredge material at the Holcim site in Alpena, Ml. Demobilize when dredging work is completed. Dredging and placement is restricted to mechanical methods. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) as a 100% set-aside for small businesses. Bid bond is required. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 237990 (Exception), Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, which has a small business size standard of $37 million (dredging) in average annual receipts. Hard copy documents will NOT be supplied by the Government to any interested parties as a result of this solicitation. Please note the Government will not be maintaining a bidders list during the solicitation period. However, vendors are strongly encouraged to review the Interested Vendors List found on sam.gov for this requirement. In order for interested contractors to conduct business with the Federal Government, contractors must register their firm at the System for Award Management (SAM). Contractors can access SAM for free at www.sam.gov.
