This extension shall provide all interested parties a full opportunity to provide their best quotation. NOTE: Please review the updated RFQ document to account for the the accurate totals for the Six (6) month option to extend. Please also review the attached RFI Q&A. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, located in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to solicit for the provision of Solid Waste Disposal for the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), located at 2600 S. 2nd Street, Pekin, IL 61554. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirement contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period will consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, with (4) one-year option periods. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 562111 - Solid Waste Collection, (Size Standard $47.0 Million). This solicitation is unrestricted. The contractors shall adhere to all local, state, and federal codes, laws, and regulations, and must meet all EPA requirements and standards. It is estimated that there be approximately 850 tons of solid waste per year between the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) and Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) on site. Please review the attached Request for Quotation with specifications for details. The FPC will need one (1) each 38 cubic yard dumpster supplied and picked up on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month between 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Pick-up times are specific and necessary to the orderly daily operation of the institution. The FCI is the second location with a pick-up requirement. The FCI will need one (1) each 38 cubic yard supplied and picked up twice each week. The Contractor shall report to the FCI between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays to move the trash compactor from the Food Service rear dock to the inside of the sallyport located at the rear gate of the institution. The contractor will pick up the trash compactor between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays of each week and return the empty compactor to the Food Service rear dock no later than 8:30 a.m. of the same day. If the scheduled move or pickup falls on a Federal Holiday, the institution will notify the contractor of the schedule change in accordance with the Statement of Work. The solicitation will be made available on or about December 22, 2025 and will be distributed solely through the website at www.sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation and amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. The site provides downloading instructions.
