Description
In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures. The FAA intends to issue a single-source contract modification to Allen Corporatio of America on the Flight Program Participant Training Services Contract 6973GH-21-D-00004 extension. This procurement action will incorporate an extension of the current contract featuring a 3-month base period with 2 onemonth option periods. This structure guarantees continuous, uninterrupted support for the requirement during the transition between contracts. The rationale for a single source authorization A short-term, single-source extension is required to maintain uninterrupted service continuity for the Flight Program Participant Training Services. This bridge contract will cover the period between the expiration of the current extension on June 30, 2026, and the expected follow-on contract award. The service provided by this contract is critical for the agency to maintain an Aviation Safety workforce that is current and qualified to perform certification and oversight functions. A lapse in service would decrease the number of qualified aviation safety inspectors and flight test personnel, which would disrupt the level of service provided to aviation industry applicants and stakeholders. Inquiries to this announcement prior to the response dates closing may be directed to Cilony.Alejandro at Cilony.Alejandro@faa.gov.
