Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The United States Coast Guard Base Portsmouth intends to award a sole-source purchase order using the procedures at Federal Acquisitions Regulation (FAR) 12.102(a), as it has been deemed that only one source is available to meet this specific requirement due to the Coast Guard requires the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to custom fabricate hydraulic arm assemblies, bunks, lifting arms, pads & pins needed to repair/overhaul self-propelled hydraulic trailer in order to function properly. The specifications for these items belong to the OEM and are not publicly available. This purchase order is intended to be awarded to HOSTAR Marine Transport Systems for hydraulic parts to repair OEM self-propelled hydraulic boat trailer. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 333924 � Industrial Truck, Tractor, Trailer and Stacker Machinery Manufacturing. The Product of Service Code for this requirement is 2330. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations. Any party who believes they can perform this requirement should submit a capability statement for consideration by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. A party may identify their interest and submit a capability statement by 10:00am Eastern Time on March 26, 2026.
