This is a source sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified potential offerors. No formal solicitation documents exist at this time. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to these sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The Department of Veterans Affairs Durham VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 508 Fulton St, Durham, NC 27705 is seeking potential sources capable to provide all transportation, materials, parts, tools, specialized equipment, labor, supervision, quality control, and technical expertise to procure preventive and corrective maintenance for Horcher ceiling mounted patient lifts. The service shall encompass the scope of providing onsite preventive and corrective maintenance of Horcher Medical Systems ceiling mounted patient lifting systems installed throughout the Durham VA Healthcare System, located at 508 Fulton Street, Durham, NC 27705 (including Greenville Health Care Center (HCC)) to ensure that they are safe for patient use. The vendor will provide Service calls placed during normal business hours shall be answered within 30 minutes of initiation and the contractor shall have a service representative onsite within 4 business hours of initiation. All work is to be performed in accordance with the guidelines established by Federal, State and local ordinances, with the FDA and manufacturer s guidelines. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. This U.S. industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in repairing and maintaining one or more of the following: (1) consumer electronic equipment; (2) computers; (3) office machines; (4) communication equipment; and (5) other electronic and precision equipment and instruments, without retailing these products as new. Establishments in this industry repair items, such as microscopes, radar and sonar equipment, televisions, stereos, video recorders, computers, fax machines, photocopying machines, two-way radios, cellular telephones, and other communications equipment, scientific instruments, and medical equipment; Small Business Size Standards 34 million.
