Description
Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD, hereby gives notice of intent to award a purchase order to Viavi Systems, (Cage Code: 6UW26), on a sole source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.103-1(b), one responsible source. The COMFRC Aviation Support Equipment (ASE) Solomons, MD has a requirement for the Test, Evaluation and Repairs of six (6) Avionics Ramp Test Sets, for the IFR 6000. Viavi Systems is the OEM for for the IFR 6000 and is the only known source for test, evaluation and repair services that will meet operational and reliability requirements without modifications to existing components. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be reviewed. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
