Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) herein issuance solicitation for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled �Replace Roofs� at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI Cumberland), located in Cumberland, Maryland. FCI Cumberland is a Federal Correctional Institutional facility located at 14601 Burbridge Road, SE, Cumberland, Maryland 21502. The work to be performed in association with this project includes the following scope: �Replace Roofs throughout the Federal Correctional Institution (approximately 88,084 sq. ft.) and the Federal Prison Camp (approximately 23,315 sq. ft).� The responsible entity that will provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, and incidentals unless stated otherwise in the Statement of Work for the removal of the current Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) flat roofing system and the installation of flat Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roofing material throughout. The Statement of Work attachment included with this solicitation announcement will provide complete requirements for the project. Any secure/locked documents uploaded with the solicitation will require an active vendor registration at https://SAM.gov. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. (NOTE: This range is one of eight available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range). The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238160 with a corresponding small business size standard of $19 Million. The solicitation is set aside exclusively for small business contractors. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the website at https://SAM.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The website provides download instructions. All information about this solicitation, including any amendments, will also be distributed solely through the website.
