It does not constitute the issuance of a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified SDVOSB businesses. This is not a request for bids, quotes, offers, or proposals. The responses to this announcement will assist in determining the socio-economic status such as a SDVOSB set-aside if feasible. If insufficient SDVOSB responses are received to establish the basis for setting this requirement aside for SDVOSB s, the requirement may be solicited as a VOSB or a SB set aside in which case all interested parties responding shall be eligible to compete. Bill Young (Bay Pines) VAHCS 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, Bay Pines, Florida 33744, has a requirement for the Business Office Service, Medical Records Scanning section to increase productivity and relieve a scanning backlog. BACKGROUND: The C.W. Bill Young has a requirement to reduce scanning backlog (Action Item) PURPOSE: Scanners will connect to VA Workstations and connects to VA VISTA software to accommodate the scanning of patient medical records.. These records include Community care exams, other VA s medical records, and are a crucial component in delivering patient care. SCOPE: C. W. Bill Young (Bay Pines) is requesting contractors provide brand name or equal equipment that meets or exceed the physical, functional and performance of the listed salient characteristics in this section. The equipment feature is essential to the technical requirements to meet the need of the government. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS: Equipment must have the physical characteristics to enable the government to perform the capabilities: RICOH fi-8950: ADF (Automatic Document Feeder)/Manual Feed, Duplex Scanning Speed (A4 Landscape)(Color /Grayscale / Monochrome )Simplex: 150 ppm (200/300 dpi) Duplex : 300 ipm (200/300 dpi) Scanning Speed (A4 Portrait)(Color /Grayscale /Monochrome ) Simplex: 115 ppm (200/300 dpi) Simplex: 115 ppm (200/300 dpi) Image Sensor Type CIS x 2 (front x 1, back x 1) Light Source RGB LED x 4 (front x 2, back x 2) Optical Resolution 600 dpi Output Resolution (Color/Grayscale/Monochrome) 50 to 600 dpi (adjustable by 1 dpi increments), 1,200 dpi (driver) Output Format Color: 24-bit, Grayscale: 8-bit, Monochrome: 1-bit Background Colors White/Black (selectable) Document Size Max 304.8 x 431.8 mm Document Size Min 48 x 70 mm FUNCTIONAL AND PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS: Equipment must provide the functional and performance capability as listed above in section in above. SOFTWARE: N/A TRAINING: Government will not require additional training. WARRANTY OF EQUIPMENT: Government requirement for standard manufacturer industry warranty term.
