Description
This project is for new Entry Control Point/Main Gate to include a Guard House and Visitor's Check-In Center. This project will install new site utilities for the new facilities as indicated on the RFP Drawings and Specifications. This project will also include the construction of a Medical/Dental Facility to provide all Medical and Dental clinic functions, as well as offices and counseling areas for the Work Life staff. The ground floor of this medical/dental clinic shall be primarily open to allow storm surge to flow through the building's ground floor and minimize natural disaster damage. The Medical/Dental Clinic. Building shall strive to incorporate the best in energy efficiency, environmental performance, and advanced controls using a �whole building� integrated design approach. This medical/dental facility shall employ High Performance and Sustainable Building (HPSB) technologies to the maximum extent practicable and comply with the Guiding Principles for Sustainable Federal Buildings (2020). The Guiding Principles ensure Federal Buildings: (1) Employ Integrated Design Principles (2) Optimize Energy Performance (3) Protect and Conserve Enhance the Indoor Environment (4) Reduce the Environmental Impact of Materials (5) Assess and Consider Building Resilience; RFP Specification Section 01800, Paragraph 1.1.1 for a project description. The contractor shall complete work according to this specification and as shown on the Government-accepted, Contractor originated drawings.
