Description
The Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 02 intends to solicit from a single source IAW FAR 13.106(b) to obtain Service on their G.E. C-ARM that is in need of repair. This C-Arm is considered medical equipment, and is currently in place and in active use at the Syracuse VAMC and manufactured by General Electric (G.E.). The OEM, G.E.. Period of Performance (POP) (estimated): 11/19/2025 through 12/31/2025 with potential for (0) option years (single-time maintenance). All work to be completed NLT 30 days of receiving an awarded contract. Requirement Description: G.E. is the OEM Manufacturer of the C-Arm . The need to keep this equipment properly functioning is based on patient care as this equipment is vital for the healthcare of such patients and must be maintained regularly to prevent system down time. Given the urgent nature of the maintenance needed and given that G.E. does not have appear to utilize third party companies to perform such service work and only trained service reps such as those that work actively for G.E. are the only qualified individuals to perform this maintenance. Further, these reps are required to be used to avoid any potential warranty issues. It is thus the decision of the CO after performing market research and finding no firms available to perform this work other than the OEM and provided that the OEM can provide a fair and reasonable cost quote, and is capable of performing the work as required, is to award the work to General Electric. This should minimize potential downtime and avoid voiding the device s current warranty. They are also knowledgeable of the machine s specific tolerances, calibrations and pressures. Intended Source: General Electric THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Tuesday November 18th at 15:00 Eastern Standard Time (EST). The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses from responsible sources will be considered. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with RESPONSE TO INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE C-Arm Repair in the subject line. All documents submitted will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Contract Specialist, Jason M. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements.
