Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) falls under the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The NSWCDD is an engineering, software development, and system test and integration center for Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) components of the US Navy. The purpose of this proposed requirement is to obtain contract support to provide engineering services and test support to NSWCDD. The NSWCDD intends to award on a sole source basis to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Inc for delivery of a software configuration to support the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) guidance system to increase capabilities for Department of Defense (DoD) platforms in targeting, guidance, command and control while decreasing the need for the main platform to maneuver in order to establish a firing solution with the system. This award also includes Subject Matter Expert (SME) support during integrations of the solution, Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) tests, flight testing, and SME support during demonstration test events and System Integration Lab (SIL) integration and testing. The Contractor shall support development of a new software configuration for use with the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) guidance system allowing for increased capabilities with fire solutions with more limited main platform maneuvering, integration with DoD air platforms, Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for Hardware In The Loop (HWIL) tests, SME support for development tests with telemetry, and SME support during demonstration test events.
