THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), NCO 08- is conducting a market research survey to identify potential qualified sources capable of providing linen laundering services in support of the Fisher House facility located at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System campus, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, Bay Pines, Florida 33744, at a firm fixed price for a period of one year. BACKGROUND: The Fisher House at Bay Pines VA Healthcare System provides temporary lodging to veterans and their families during medical treatment. To support the comfort and dignity of these guests, the facility requires professional laundering of high-quality bed linens, including Egyptian cotton items. The VA seeks to identify qualified contractors capable of providing reliable, healthcare-hospitality-grade linen laundering services. SCOPE OF WORK (ANTICIPATED): The anticipated services include, but may not be limited to: Linen Collection: Scheduled pickup of soiled linens from the Fisher House facility at Bay Pines VA Healthcare System. Laundering: Professional laundering of Egyptian cotton linens (sheets, pillowcases, towels, and other textile items) using appropriate wash cycles, temperatures, and detergents suitable for high-thread-count fabrics. Quality Inspection: Inspection of laundered items for stains, damage, or wear prior to return. Damaged or unserviceable items shall be flagged and reported to the COR. Delivery: Return of clean, folded/packaged linens to the Fisher House on an agreed-upon schedule. Inventory Tracking: Maintenance of basic pickup and delivery logs for accountability purposes. Compliance: All services shall comply with applicable OSHA standards, CDC guidelines for laundry in healthcare-adjacent settings, and any applicable VA policies. Estimated Frequency: To be determined based on market research Estimated Linen Volume: To be determined based on occupancy and capacity of the Fisher House RESPONSES MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: Company Name, Address, Size Standard, UEI#, Cage Code Description of your company's experience providing commercial linen laundering services, particularly for healthcare, hospitality, or similar environments Specific experience handling delicate or specialty fabrics such as Egyptian cotton Geographic service area and ability to service Bay Pines, FL 33744 General description of your pricing model (per pound, per piece, flat rate, etc.) specific pricing is not required at this time Contract number (If on existing government contract that can be ordered off of) Point of Contact name, phone number, and email address *NOTE Acquisitions will only be set aside for SDVOSBs/VOSBs if two or more responses that meet the Non-manufacturer Rule are received with the required information listed above, by the due date specified below. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. The Government may or may not issue a solicitation as a result of this announcement. There is no solicitation available at this time.
