Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Boeing (CAGE: 0PXV4) located in Saint Louis, MO 63134 for the procurement of Radar Antenna Removal/Install Equipment, P/N: D0831E0001-1001 for the P-8A Poseidon Program in support of the United States Navy and various FMS countries. The Government intends to procure the above items under the statutory authority of Title 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."; therefore, a solicitation is not available for this procurement. Boeing is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and is the exclusive data right holder for this proprietary system and is the only vendor capable of meeting the Government�s requirement. This notification is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for an award of a contract.
