The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 4, hereby provides notice of Intent to Sole Source to Johnson Controls Fire Protection Systems, LP, 6600 Congress Avenue, Boca Raton, FL 33487-1213. Award of a sole-source, firm fixed price contract for a one-time service Repair of Sprinkler System Deficiency with Simplex Proprietary Branded Fire Alarm System. Using the authority provided under VAAR 819.7007. A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition will be prepared. The period of performance is ESTIMATED to be 30 days, 11/28/2025 12/28/25. The contract will provide repairs includes the provision of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and quality assurance necessary to conduct repairs to the dry sprinkler system in Buildings 7 and 8 at Wilkes Barre VA Medical Center, 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes Barre, PA18711. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 11/26/25 at 10:00AM Eastern Standard Time (EST). A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered.
