Description
THIS IS A SYNOPSIS AS REQUIRED BY RFO 5.1 � IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, REQUEST FOR QUOTE, OR INVITATION FOR BID. Synopsis for Portable Diesel Generator System The points of contact for this procurement are: Contract Specialist Ms. Jovita Salvador - jovita.salvador.pt@us.af.mil; Contracting Officer Ms. Tania Cardoso - tania.cardoso.2.pt@us.af.mil. This acquisition is not set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) assigned to this acquisition is 335312 � Motor and Generator Manufacturing. The Product Service Code (PSC) assigned is 6115 � Generators and Generator Sets, Electrical. The contemplated contract is to be performed in Azores, Portugal. This synopsis is for a solicitation for the following purchase: Portable Diesel Generator System The 765th Contracting Flight requires the purchase and turn-key installation of a brand-name-only Cummins� Model C220D5EQ Portable Diesel Generator System. The system will provide emergency backup power to the critical walk-in cold storage units. The justification for this brand-name-only requirement is provided in Attachment 1 - Justification & Approval (J&A). The requirement is for a fully integrated and operational solution. The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing, installing, and ensuring the proper function of the generator and all associated components, including: A 400A Manual Transfer Switch A 400A Safety Disconnect Main Breaker An Emergency Enclosure Panel Board All necessary power cabling and connectors A generator grounding system A generator trailer All work is to be performed at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. Interested parties must be able to provide the specified brand and model and complete all required installation services. The Government intends to solicit and award a single, firm-fixed-price contract using the procedures outlined in RFO Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, resulting from this solicitation, on a brand name basis, to the responsible offeror that meets all the required elements on the request for quotation and provides the lowest priced quote. The Government intends to solicit quotations locally from at least five vendors. The formal solicitation will be issued directly to these sources. The required completion date for this project will be 180 calendar days after contract award. The tentative date for issuance of Solicitation FA448626Q0005 is May 4, 2026. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained within the solicitation package. Potential offerors MUST be registered in the System for Award Management to be eligible for award (See internet site: https://www.sam.gov) or their proposal will not be considered. Payment for this acquisition will be made electronically through the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) System via the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE). This announcement serves as the Advance Notice for this project. Responses to the synopsis are not required.
