Description

Notice Of Intent To Award A Sole Source Delivery Order Via GSA Federal Supply Schedule The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8, intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Maness Medical Inc. under the Federal Supply Schedule. The requirement is for the procurement of Ook Snow Beds, which must be fully compatible with the Umano Connect system and match the existing beds currently in use to ensure uniformity and operational consistency. This equipment is required for the Community Living Center at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, FL 33612. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of FAR 13.106 1(b), which allows for sole source procurement when only one responsible source is capable of providing the required supplies due to their unique or highly specialized nature. A Sole Source Justification has been completed and approved in accordance with applicable regulations. Period of Performance: May 1, 2026 June 30, 2026. This is a Special Notice, not a solicitation. No solicitation package will be issued. The Government does not intend to compete this requirement. However, interested parties may submit capability statements that provide clear and convincing evidence that an alternative source could meet the Government s needs. The Government will review all responses received but is not obligated to conduct a competitive procurement based on them. Response Deadline: 4:30 PM EDT, April 27, 2026.
