Description

DESCRIPTION: The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) intends to issue a Request for Quotes for Trial Advocacy Training Instructor services. The contractor will develop and conduct a trial skills training workshop for NLRB attorneys with one to ten years of experience. Key personnel must have substantial experience providing advocacy training to attorneys that practice before trial court level and experience with the Federal Rules of Evidence. It is preferable that the key personnel have exposure to NLRB litigation and/or similar federal experience. The training should be exclusive to litigation before a judge/administrative law judge and not jury. The topics to be addressed in this training must include, but are not limited to: Preparing and conducting direct/re-direct examination of witnesses. Best practices for admitting and using exhibits (affidavits, position statements, electronic documents, texts, social media and recordings). Best practices for rehabilitating witnesses. Credibility Witness preparation Preparing and conducting cross and 611(c) examinations of adverse witnesses. Best practices for admitting and using exhibits (affidavits, position statements, electronic documents, texts, social media and recordings). Best practices for impeaching witnesses. Application of the Federal Rules of Evidence in a courtroom setting, including making and responding to objections and ensuring a complete administrative hearing record. TYPE OF CONTRACT AND NAICS: This RFP will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. The North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) for this effort is 611430. All responsible sources are invited to submit a response to show interest which will be considered by the agency. Please note that this not a Request for Proposal but rather a pre-solicitation notice, and no proposals will be accepted in response at this time.
