Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE ORDER AND NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. This contract action is for the acquisition of services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b). The National Cancer Institute (NCI) intends to award a single source purchase order to Intelligent Imaging Innovations, Inc., 3575 Ringsby Ct, Suite 102, Denver, CO 80216, for the acquisition of maintenance service support for an Intelligent Imaging Innovations Marianas Super-Resolution Spinning Disk Confocal Microscope with C-Shaper. The Muthuswamy Lab in the Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Genetics (LCBG), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), National Cancer Institute (NCI) currently has an Intelligent Imaging Innovations Marianas Super-Resolution Spinning Disk Confocal Microscopy System with C-Shaper that requires service contract coverage. Periodic maintenance is required to ensure continued operation by keeping the instrument in good working order to avoid damage or failure. Technical support and local service is needed for both hardware and software support to ensure maximum user time on the microscope and minimal down-time for repairs and /or training on the system. This is a necessity as any instrument downtime has the potential to affect the work of the Muthuswamy Lab which uses the system for confocal and super resolution 3D and 4D time lapse imaging of patient derived organoids to further their organoid-based cancer research. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment for preventive maintenance on this machine. All maintenance services shall be performed in accordance with the manufacturer's standard maintenance practices. The anticipated period of performance will be from April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2029, if all options are exercised. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance and a size standard of $34M. NCI will solicit and negotiate directly with Intelligent Imaging Innovations, Inc. and no solicitation will be issued. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Award is subject to approval of the Sole Source Justification. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, an interested party may submit a statement of capabilities if they believe they can meet the above requirement. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and contain sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if the party can provide the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. All responses must be received within 7 days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 7 days of this notice, an award will be made to Intelligent Imaging Innovations, Inc. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. There is no solicitation package available.
