Notice of Intent to Award a Sole-Source Contract. 1. Description: The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Indian Health Service (IHS), Albuquerque Area Office (AAO), Zuni Comprehensive Community Health Center (ZCCHC) intends to award a sole-source contract to Hill-Rom, Inc. (UEI: KNLGMBCHK347) for the extension of the existing Voalte Nurse Call System as part of the Voalte Nurse Call Services Program. This procurement will provide continued access to the program�s software, system support, and entitlement services required to maintain operational functionality of the current Voalte Nurse Call System. The services program must be renewed annually to ensure continued access to maintenance and support entitlements. A detailed service description is provided within the statement of work (SOW). 2. Authority: This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), which permits soliciting from a sole-source when the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available for purchases not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. Hill-Rom, Inc. is the sole source provider authorized to extend, support, and integrate the existing Voalte Nurse Call System currently deployed at this IHS facility. No other vendor is authorized to perform or maintain proprietary Voalte system services and entitlements. 3. NAICS and PSC code information: NAICS Code: 811210 --Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. Small Business Size Standard: $34M. Product Service Code (PSC): J063 -- Maintenance/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment-Alarm, Signal, and Security Detection Systems. 4. Type of Contract: A Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) contract is anticipated for a base 12-month period of performance, with four option periods for renewal to ensure continuity of service. The total contract period shall not exceed five (5) years. 5. Response Instructions: This notice of intent to award a sole-source contract is not a request for quotations (RFQ), and no solicitation will be issued in conjunction with this announcement. The vendors who can provide the required services may submit a capability statement demonstrating their qualifications, technical expertise, and authorization to perform maintenance and support for the Voalte Nurse Call System. All responses to this notice shall show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Verbal responses will not be accepted.
