Description

Description - The USDA-ARS Mid-West Area National Animal Disease Center located at 1920 Dayton Avenue, Ames, Iowa 50010 has a requirement for 15 Holstein or Holstein/Cross calves that meet the specifications outlined on "Attachment 2 - Statement of Requirements" found in the "Attachments/Links." This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0035 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for 15 Holstein or Holstein/Cross Calves that meet the specifications in �Attachment 2 � Statement of Requirements.� This acquisition is not set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov. The Government is aware of only one contractor capable of providing the required calves and intends to award a sole-source purchase order, but all responses from responsible vendors with active SAM registrations will be accepted and considered for award. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 112111 (Beef Cattle Ranching and Farming) The small business size standard is $2.5 Million. This acquisition is an unrestricted requirement. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. See �Attachment 1 - Solicitation Terms and Conditions� for applicable clauses, instructions, and evaluation criteria.
