Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a FAR Part 12, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-25-G-0008 for the procurement of one (1) base and up to four (4) option years of commercial CT7-8A6 aircraft engine engineering and logistics support. In accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, �Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements�, NAVAIR will issue the order to General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE), 1000 Western Avenue, Lynn, MA 01905 as they are the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the CT7-8A6 commercial engine utilized on the VH-92A presidential helicopter program. GEAE is the only company that possesses the technical expertise and technical data to meet the Government�s support requirements within the required schedule and cost parameters. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. All responses received by the Government within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
