Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), United States Penitentiary (USP) Lee County, located at Hickory Flats Road, Pennington Gap, VA 24277 intends to make a single award to a responsible entity that will provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, and incidentals to deliver all products and services described in the Scope of Work section of this statement of work. Currently, the institutional Powerhouse has two water cooling towers located in the CUB (Central Utility Building). These two cooling towers are responsible for cooling the water for the institutional chillers. The cooling towers are the original cooling towers that have been in operation for twenty-five years and are beginning to experience numerous and various mechanical failures. This is due to their constant operational status and lifespan overuse. One of the cooling towers is currently inoperable and we are solely relying on the other cooling tower to produce the amount of chilled water that two has produced in the past. The contractor will provide all necessary labor, parts, delivery, removal, disposal, installation, startup and training of staff for the total replacement of the two institutional cooling towers. The cooling towers must be in compliance with approved specifications
