Description

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is seeking information from industry to support the future recompete of the Medicare Current Beneficiary Survey (MCBS) requirement. CMS is anticipating to expand its hybrid cloud portfolio with the planned establishment of additional FedRAMP High (CMS ATO) environments in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and commercial Microsoft Azure, expected to become operational in Spring/Summer 2026. In parallel, CMS intends to elevate its commercial AWS environments to ATO High, enabling a long-term transition away from reliance on AWS GovCloud and Azure Government where appropriate. Through this RFI, CMS seeks industry input on solutions and services that can operate, modernize, and optimize CMSs hybrid cloud hosting environment, enabling secure, scalable, and cost-effective delivery of CMS mission systems while supporting emerging technologies and evolving federal cloud strategies. Please see the attached RFI for additional details and submission requirements.
