Description

Replacement of plaster ceilings at U.S. Embassy, Madrid, Spain The solicitation covers the complete demolition and replacement of deteriorated legacy ceiling systems throughout designated portions of the 1950s-era Chancery building. The contractor shall remove the plaster ceiling and wooden formwork, inspect and prepare the structural concrete slab, re-anchor all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and communication & TSS systems to the slab using approved anchoring systems and installation/reinstallation of drop ceiling system. The anticipated performance period is 173 calendar days after the contractor receives the notice to proceed. The final performance period is included in the solicitation. The Government is planning a site visit to inspect the area where the works will take place, the date is included in the solicitation. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed-price type contract. In accordance with DOSAR 652.242-73 AUTHORIZATION AND PERFORMANCE (AUG 1999), all contractors must possess all permits and licenses required to do business in Spain. All offerors will be required to provide proof that they already possess said permits as part of their offer. All contractors shall be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to contract award.
