Description

The Albany Field Office, New York District, Army Corps of Engineers has the requirement for sandblasting, inspection, repair, and re-painting of sectional barge currently located at the Lock and Dam in Troy, NY. All work shall be performed in accordance with manufacturer�s specifications, industry standards, Army Corps of Engineers requirements and in conjunction with all other individual work items outlined in this specification. The period of performance is 90 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. All work must be complete and the barge returned to the AFO by April 1st, 2026. Reference Information: Poseidon P2-5 Sectional Barge: Model Number: P2-5 Portable Number of Sections: 16 Sections The work includes Pick-up and Delivery of Sectional Barge System: The Contractor shall perform all work described in this specification at their appropriate facility. Sectional Barge System Sandblasting, Inspection, Leak testing and Re-Painting: The Contractor shall perform sandblasting of the (16) barge sections to remove all current coatings to meet SSPC SP5 industry standards. Sectional Barge System Repair: The Contractor shall perform repairs of all findings that do not exceed 20 feet of linear welding or 8 sq. feet of plate replacement. Evaluation of Offers: This is a "Best Value Tradeoff" solicitation. The Government will evaluate the proposals in accordance with the criteria of past performance, organizational/technical approach, and price, and award a firm fixed price contract to the responsible firm, whose proposal conforms to all the terms and conditions of the solicitation is fair and reasonable, and offers the best overall value to the Government. Contractor must provide and include a copy of their SSPC QP 1 certificate(s) in their bid package.
