Description
Title: Amendment 0001 - Extension of Solicitation Dates Description: The purpose of Amendment 0001 is to extend the deadlines for vendor questions and final bid submissions for Solicitation [Insert Solicitation Number]. The following dates have been changed: The Question/Inquiry Deadline is extended from May 21, 2026, to May 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM EDT. The Bid Submission Deadline is extended from May 26, 2026, to June 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM EDT. All other terms and conditions of the original IFB remain unchanged. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this amendment (see attached Amendment 0001 document) with their final bid submission. Attached Documents: Amendment 0001 to Solicitation [Insert Number].pdf The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the Sale of Government Property. This requirement covers the purchase, pick-up, and disposal of an accumulation of recyclable materials consisting of Old Corrugated Cardboard (OCC), Plastic (Shrink-wrap and LDPE Grade A), and Office Paper. Services will be required for 159 commissary locations across the Continental United States (CONUS) and Alaska. Bidders have the option to bid on a single national sales agreement (Scenario 1) or one or more of five regional area agreements (Scenario 2). The anticipated contract period of performance is June 01, 2026, through May 31, 2031. This action is exempt from the FAR and is conducted pursuant to 10 U.S.C. � 2577 and 41 CFR Part 102-38. Key Requirement Updates for 2026: Office Paper: To ensure standardized bidding, office paper may be mixed within the corrugated cardboard bales. Plastic Bales: Specific joint-review and photographic evidence requirements have been implemented for downgrading plastic bales. Forklift Usage: DeCA forklift usage by the contractor is strictly limited to emergency situations with prior Commissary Officer approval.
