Description
This Request for Information (RFI) is being issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Proposals (RFP), a Request for Quotations (RFQ) or an indication that the Government will contract for any of the items and/or services contained in this notice. In accordance with FAR 52.215-3, Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes, the Government will not pay for any information/items submitted in response to the RFI. No determination as to the viability of this potential requirement has been made at this point and there is currently no solicitation for this effort. A. BACKGROUND This requirement supports the 402nd Software Engineering Group (402 SWEG) and the 579th Software Engineering Squadron (579 SWES) in their mission to sustain the AN/ALQ-161A system. The primary equipment involved is the End-to-End Support Test Equipment (EASTE), which is the designated system for verifying the electronic warfare (EW) effectiveness of the aircraft before flight operations. Previously, the EASTE cart was limited to a two-channel testing capability. To enhance testing fidelity, a new three-channel Radio Frequency Interface (RFI) was procured. Integrating this new RFI into the existing EASTE cart required significant modifications, including necessary software upgrades to accommodate the enhanced capabilities. The program is currently in the process of retrofitting the entire fleet of EASTE carts with this new three-channel RFI to ensure all test systems provide the same advanced capability. B.
