Description

The VA Boston Healthcare System - West Roxbury VA Medical Center is seeking a vendor to provide maintenance, inspection, testing, and/or calibration of the Electrical Power Distribution System and all of its components. Contractors shall be certified by the International Electrical Testing Association (NETA) as a NETA Certified Technician or provide equivalent certification and qualifications demonstrating competency to perform electrical maintenance and testing in accordance with the latest edition of the NETA Maintenance Testing Specifications (MTS) and NFPA 70B. Equivalent certification shall include: i. Documentation demonstrating personnel certification at a level comparable to a NETA Level III Certified Technician (or higher) in electrical power system testing and maintenance (examples include NICET Electrical Power Testing Level III or IV or equivalent); ii. Demonstration that testing services will be performed in accordance with NETA MTS testing procedures and documentation standards; iii. Evidence of an organizational quality assurance program supporting electrical system testing services comparable to those required of a NETA-accredited testing organization; iv. Documentation demonstrating a minimum of five (5) years continuous experience performing electrical maintenance and testing of medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems in healthcare, industrial, educational, or commercial facilities. Personnel performing testing shall be supervised on site by a qualified senior technician meeting the above supervisory certification requirements. This contract is anticipated to be a base period of one year, no options. The anticipated period of performance is May 11, 2026 through May 10, 2027.
