Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm-fixed price Contract on a Limited-Competition bases between approved vendors for the procurement of Link Bearings (P/N 416505-1, NSN 120-00-431-0646), which has been designated as an ALRE Critical Safety Item (CSI). All contractors seeking award must have prior approval from the Engineering Support Activity (ESA) at NAVAIR Lakehurst in accordance with SECNAVINST 4140(E)(2)(a). The four approved companies listed on TDR 20-12082 are Radial Bearing Corporation (CAGE: 99528), RBC Southwest Products (CAGE: 81376), The Timken Company (CAGE: 4F549) and Master Research & Manufacturing (CAGE: 9U245). GENERAL INFORMATION: There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of the contract for the effort described above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Registration in the Department of Defense DoD System for Award Management (SAM) database will be a prerequisite for receiving an award. For more information on the SAM, refer to the SAM website at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation for this procurement has been issued. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received because of the notice of intent will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice.
