Description
OVERVIEW OF JOB CORPS Job Corps is the largest nationwide residential career training program in the country and has been operating for more than 60 years. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment. Job Corps has trained and educated over two million individuals since 1964. Job Corps operates 121 facilities/centers located across the continental United States, in Puerto Rico, Alaska, and Hawaii. All new construction and a large portion of their modernization is accomplished through Construction, Architecture and Engineering (A/E) and Design-Build (D/B) contracts issued by Job Corps, Department of Labor (DOL). BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES Typical work under the contract will include but will not be limited to: general building renovation, vertical construction, , horizontal construction, security and force protection of new and existing facilities, and incidental work as well as other types of design-build and construction services. All work will be assigned and accomplished in accordance with individual task orders. The primary area of coverage will be the continental US, Alaska, Hawaii and/or US territories. Work will be performed on land owned, leased, or with use agreements located in any US state or territory. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for the base requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Task Orders under this contract may utilize other appropriate NAICS in Section 23, Construction. TYPE OF CONTRACT In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 16.504(c), the Department of Labor intends to award a series of Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts as a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC). The MATOC IDIQ ordering period shall consist of a total of five (5) years from the date of contract award. Task orders may be placed against this contract from the date of contract award through the completion of the ordering period. TASK ORDERS Task orders will be issued under this MATOC IDIQ in accordance with FAR 16.505 and FAR 36. Please reference Section C, Statement of Work for further Task Order Requirements. SITE VISIT An organized site visit has been scheduled for - February 3, 2026, at 10 am Eastern Participants will meet at - Old Dominion Job Corps Center, 1073 Father Judge Rd, Monroe, VA 24574 Registration for the site visit is requested. Parties interested in attending the site visit are requested to register by NLT 12:00 PM ET one (1) business day prior to the site visit. Registration requests should be sent via email to Bernadette Hughes and Paul Seivert at hughes.bernadette.l@dol.gov and seivert.paul.m@dol.gov. Registration requests should include the name of all planned attendees. SOLICITATION QUESTIONS No questions will be answered during the Site Visit. All questions must be submitted in writing via email in accordance with the instructions in this provision. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Each question shall be sent via email to Bernadette Hughes and Paul Seivert at hughes.bernadette.l@dol.gov and seivert.paul.m@dol.gov. Clearly specify the solicitation area (page, paragraph, etc.) to which the question refers. The email�s subject line shall be structured as follows: [Solicitation Number] � [Project Title] � [Company Name]. Questions shall be received no later than 2:00 PM Eastern on 02/6/2026. All questions received by this date and time will be answered via Solicitation Amendment posted to SAM.gov. Questions received after this date and time may not be answered.
