Description
This is a non-personal service(s) contract to update the cushioned draft gear on Department of Defense Railcar (DODX) 40061 and DODX 40020 to a standard draft gear. Quotation due date is 17 February 2026 at 2:00 PM. Questions may be sent by email to the points of contact listed below and the Government responses will be posted to SAM.gov. Edit: January 22 2026. Solicitation Questions and Answers posted in Attachments/Links Edit: February 6 2026. Image attahcments (ZIP File) of DODX 40061 and 39166. The photographs of asset 39166 depict the existing test car designated for replacement. The accompanying photographs of DODX 40061 provide visual documentation of the railcar's A and B ends, its manufacturer stenciling, and its data plate.
