Description
The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 41 United States Code 1901 as implemented by Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation Overhaul (RFO) 12.102(b), sole source under the authority of the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commerical items. The Government has a need for inspection certification, repair, parts, and service by an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) that can provide beginning to end solutions for the Illinois Waterway Project Office (IWPO's) inland river cranes which operate on the Illinois River. The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to enter into a firm fixed price and time and materials contract structure with Walter Payton Power Equipment, LLC, (CAGE Code 3Q3Y3). **This notice is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation will be issued; however, any SAM.gov registered vendor that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the contract specialist by 01 May 2026 by 2PM Central Time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
