CITY OF PORTAGE SEWER INTERCEPTOR REHABILITATION - SECTION 219, PORTAGE, PORTER COUNTY, INDIANA (USACE ACQUISITION)

Description

This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District to inform interested/potential contractors of the District's imminent issue of an Invitation for Bid Package for its construction project entitled, "City of Portage Sewer Interceptor Rehabiliation - Section 219, Portage, Porter County, Indiana (USACE Acquisition)." PROJECT INFORMATION: Under the contract, the contractor will provide service to inceptor rehabilitation extending from Stone Avenue in the south up to Central Avenue in the north. This section of interceptor is approximately 4,600 feet in length. It includes 30-inch and 36-inch diameter RCP pipe along with two (2) 20-inch diameter siphon pipes (between MH74-38 and 74-36). The siphon is restricting flow in the interceptor, so a third pipe will be added. The manholes within this stretch of interceptor will also be rehabilitated. Some manhole rim elevations are below the 100-year floodplain elevation and will be raised as part of this project as well. The North American Industry System Classification Code is 237110, with a small business size standard in dollars of $39.5 Million. The magnitude of cost for construction is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Solicitation (Invitation for Bids ��IFB�) will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Once the package is released into advertisement at this website ("Federal Business Opportunities"), interested bidders may download the full package, includes: specification and drawings files. The Solicitation package is planned for advertisement on or about August 5, 2021, with bids due on or about September 8, 2021.
