Description
The sources sought notice is to announce the Screening 2035 initiative whereby the USMS is seeking to gather information from industry on security screening technologies that may support current and future USMS screening operations at Federal courthouses and other facilities. The USMS is seeking a better understanding of what screening solutions are currently available, how they are being used in applicable environments, and where there may be opportunities to improve screening effectiveness and long term sustainment. Responses received will be used to support planning and initiatives for developing an approved products list that can be used across a wide range of facility types and operational needs. Proposed security solutions will be phased in over several years on a facility-by-facility basis. In addition, the USMS is seeking to reduce the amount of operator training, optimize maintenance costs, and minimize equipment downtime by right sizing the screening equipment packages.
