NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract and is not a request for a competitive quote. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 9 (NCO 9) intends to award a sole source contract to Argo, Inc., 2000 Center Dr. # D403, Hoffman Estates, IL 60192-5005 to supplement existing Argo, Inc. Patient Ceiling Lifts for the Lexington Healthcare System at the following campuses: Troy Bowling Campus Franklin R. Sousley Campus 1101 Veterans Drive 2250 Leestown Rd. Lexington, KY 40502 Lexington, KY 40511 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 339113 Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing, and the Product Service Code (PSC) for this requirement is 6515 Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. The objective of this sole source award is to supplement the existing Argo, Inc. Patient Ceiling lifts that provide safe patient handling throughout patient care services at the two campuses. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes their firm can meet the above requirement, the firm may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing prior to the closing of this notice and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If a party chooses to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award.
