Description

The Indian Health Service, Navajo Area, Crownpoint Service Unit in Crownpoint, New Mexico intends to restrict competition and negotiate an award with Henry Schein (UEI: D6MTSKS115L9) for the purchase and installation of dentistry cabinets for the Dental Central Sterile Room instrument processing unit to the Pueblo Pintado Clinic. Pueblo Pintado is a satellite clinic operating under the Crownpoint Service Unit. The projected period of performance is: Date of award to one year. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 339114 � Dental Equipment and Supplies Manufacturing with a Small Business Administration size standard of 750 employees. In accordance with RFO 12.102, for acquisitions valued at or below the simplified acquisition threshold, competition will be restricted due an urgent and compelling situation. The Pueblo Pintado Dental Clinic requires the immediate replacement and upgrade of the cabinetry in its dental sterilization room. The existing cabinetry no longer meets the operational and infection prevention requirements necessary to support the proper cleaning, processing, and sterilization of dental instruments. Compliance with infection control and sterilization standards is required to meet Joint Commission accreditation requirements and to ensure the safety of patients and staff. This Notice of Intent to Restrict Competition is not a request for quotations, and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with this Notice of Intent. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated services may provide a capability statement. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses to this notice shall be submitted no later than July 24th, 2026 via email to Janice.Martinez@ihs.gov. A determination by the Government on whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition or proceed with a single-source award.
